Issue: Polygamy

As far as I know, there is not a single Personal Choice candidate who does
not support the right of consenting adults to choose for themselves how they
will live, including the legalization of polygamy.
As a candidate for Governor, I have already promised that I will
immediately order the 29 County Clerks to issue legal marriage licenses for
all consenting adults who desire to marry, regardless of the sex or the
number of their marriage partners. If I am elected and if Amendment 3 is
ratified, I will ignore it because it violates the Supreme Law of the Land.
A vote for me is another voice with which I will preach marriage freedom.
Every vote for a Personal Choice candidate will be a vote for
marriage freedom in Utah. And personally, I believe it is more glorious to
stand up and be counted for our rights, than it is to participate in this
fear-motivated choice of the lesser of evils. If everyone in Utah who
believes in the right to live polygamy voted and cast their ballot for
Personal Choice, our voice would be heard. A vote from hope is more powerful
than a vote from fear. I realize I am asking you to allow others to live
lifestyles you may consider sinful or perverted, but isn't that what they
say Jehovah preached in the War in Heaven? As strongly as we may be moved to
preach against sexual perversions among consenting adults, let the One who
is without sin cast the first stone.
Finally, I am extremely honored and proud to share the Personal
Choice ballot with Linda Kelsch
and several other real patriots.
Please distribute this to every polygamist and polygamist sympathizer
in the State.
Ken Larsen, Candidate for
Utah Governor
