Dear Mrs. Jackson,

The 14th Amendment of the US Constitution, which trumps all state constitutions, says, "No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

The last time I checked, Mormon Fundamentalists, Muslims, Native Americans and other polygamists are people. I still haven't met a homosexual who is not a person. Have you? We are Constitutionally required to give them the same legal privileges we give to any other person or group.

Regardless of the opinion of any judge, Amendment 3 violates the clear language of the Supreme Law of the Land. It is unconstitutional.

No government officer who has taken an oath to support the Constitution can support Amendment 3 without violating his oath of office.

Regardless of the vote on Amendment 3, if I am elected Governor of Utah, my oath of office will require me immediately to order all County Clerks to issue legal marriage licenses without discriminating on the basis of the sex or number of spouses.
