Ken Larsen Biographical Info:
Born and raised
in Provo, Utah.
Education:
Provo High School and a Ph.D. from BYU in Zoology.
Business / Occupation:
Currently hold the title of "Adjunct Research
Associate Professor of Medicine" at the University of Utah School of
Medicine. Now working part time at the Huntsman Cancer Institute helping
learn about the genetic and molecular workings of the biological clock. Specifically, I
monitor the spontaneous activity patterns of genetically altered mice kept
in constant dark.
Associations / Organizations:
Eagle Scout, Vigil Honor Order of the Arrow, Indian dancer three
summers in Europe with the BYU Folkdancers, SCUBA certified, Private Pilot's
license, Past candidate for virtually every office besides US President and
dog catcher. Founder of several churches, including the Same Sex Church, the
Church of the Holy Nudity, the Church of the Goddess of Chance, the Tobacco
God, the Beer God, the Sex Goddess and the Church of the Hemp Goddess. I
have performed legal marriages as the Mouth of the Church of the Hemp
Goddess. I was chairman of the Utah THC (Therapeutic Humane Cannabis)
Committee and sponsored two initiative petitions to legalize medical
marijuana in Utah. I have sued the State for the right to buy a gun without
a background check and also for the right to marry another man. I got the
first ticket for cruising State Street so I could challenge that law before
the Utah Supreme Court. I also sued the judge in that case for denying me
the constitutional right to a jury trial. I lost all those cases. I should
say the Constitution lost all those cases.
Talents / Skills:
I have directed a play in which I had a leading role
at the 10th East Senior Center. Also, I was a member of the 10th East Choir
and the 10th East Harmonica Band, as well as the 10th East Advisory Council
(an election I actually won). I play the quena flute from Peru and have
enjoyed making dozens.

Hobbies / Personal Interests:
Have enjoyed hiking Timp, studying varied forms of
mysticism, touring Europe, Mexico, Central America and Columbia. Speak
French (was once fluent) and a little Spanish. My passion, of course, is
politics because I have the strange, Quixotic notion that somehow I CAN make
a difference in the world.
